Hello, I'm Pauli, a lifelong gamer with a creative mind.
After starting my game developing career in 2019, I proudly released a game on Steam at Ahlman with fellow students.
Currently refining my skills as a programmer and Unity developer at Sataedu, I thrive on learning, recently gathering skills in Blender. Outside the tech realm, I pursue music production under the alias Pauliphoo.
Known for my creative flair, sense of responsibility, and eagerness to learn, I'm on a constant journey of self-improvement and innovation.
As a salesperson, I was in charge with the gaming, music, and movie sections.

Elliot and the musical joyrney
Project lead, code, music
Elliot and the Musical Journey, our Ahlman school project, aimed to launch on Steam. We reached the Bit1 2020 finals, competing against five teams.
This 3D platformer, accompanied by an 11-song soundtrack created with Juloppi, offers 1-2 hours of vibrant gameplay.
Throughout development, I enhanced my C# skills, confidently integrating fellow programmers' code. As project leader, fostering team spirit and ensuring everyone's voice was heard were priorities.
Despite Covid-19 challenges, our Discord collaboration resulted in a successful game, showcasing dedication and adaptability.

Puffy & Bonker
Solo Hobby project
Embark on a nostalgic journey with a game, centered around two once-forgotten arcade heroes. Trapped in a malfunctioning arcade machine, one character seeks freedom, while their glitched-out companion escapes to aid a friend in need.
Presently, the game boasts an engaging narrative across 7 levels, offering approximately 30 minutes of gameplay for new players. Through private playtests with friends and once in public IGDA Tampere Demo Corner, valuable feedback has shaped the evolving experience.
Balancing this project alongside my regular day job was both challenging and rewarding. The solo effort reflects my dedication to crafting a unique gaming experience, where every detail is meticulously curated by my own hands.

HUG ME
First solo 3d project
After taking the first steps learning Blender, a spark of inspiration led me to conceptualize a horror game suitable for all age groups.
In this unique concept, Teddy patrols the eerie house, and players must locate randomly spawning toys scattered throughout. This dynamic element ensures each playthrough is a distinct experience, adding an exciting twist to the gameplay.
Crafting this game was an enjoyable endeavor, drawing not only on my creative efforts but also involving my entire family in the development process. The collaborative spirit heightened the project's significance, making it a memorable and inclusive journey for everyone involved."

Phantomime
game jam with musician
What initially began as a modest entry into Finnish College Jam #5 alongside a fellow student quickly transformed into a passion project for me. In our collaborative effort, my focus turned towards refining visuals and mechanics, while my co-worker concentrated on the audio aspect.
My skills in Blender have undergone significant enhancement. Although I still consider myself a novice, I've become proficient in rigging, animating, UV mapping, and texturizing my models.
Embracing assets has not only improved the game's overall feel but has also provided invaluable experience in seamlessly integrating external elements into a project.
'Hug Me' posed a challenge with its demands on system resources, prompting me to delve into optimization techniques, a skill that has now become a staple in my development practices.
Moreover, 'Phantomime' offered a distinctive learning experience as I navigated the process of building a game for the Xbox One Dev Kit, broadening my understanding of game development across different platforms.
